Just one bite once, devastated the blissful lives of Adam and his dear wife. too bad.

JUST One BITE of SIN: ONCE

Sin Is Evil And Pernicious. Just one bite of the forbidden fruit once, devastated the blissful lives of Adam and Eve and of course yours and mine.  God still judges with such severity any act of disobedience because He has given you and I everything we need to live godly lives here on earth with the good intention of spending eternity with Him in heaven.

Just think of it: JUST ONE BITE OF SIN ONCE!

And the deed was done. Listen to the Bible:

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to  do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  discerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;  who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. Rom.128-32

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and ALL LIARS shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Rev 218

You see that God considers every thought, word, action or inaction contrary to His will, as sin; with the same punishment: Hell! How many times have you had one bite of sin and you believe God does not notice?

So why has God not come with flaming sword to deal with you, or has He come but you are far too deep into your chosen lifestyle that you no longer hear God to differentiate between a sinful lifestyle and a godly one?

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jn.316-18

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you AN EVIL HEART OF UNBELIEF in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the DECEITFULNESS OF SINFor we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do Not Harden Your Hearts As In The Rebellion.”Heb.312-15

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. 1Jn.511-13

Yes, God’s grace is available now, but you must believe and accept it by faith.

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” Rom.1010-11

…Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ Jn.37. In Acts 1630

Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

That was the cry of a man who has just come to know that he is lost without Christ. Before this experienced jailer could ask this question in this manner in which he did, he must have experienced an encounter with the Holy Spirit that shattered his resistances; something must have happened to him. An unbroken man cannot bring himself so low as to start asking for direction in life.  This has the same ring as the one asked by the Jews who heard Apostle Peter’s sermon on the day of Pentecost. Now when they heard this, they were CUT TO THE HEART, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Acts 237.

Saul of Tarsus when he was care-fronted by the Lord Himself on the road to Damascus, asked;     What shall I do, Lord?’ Acts2210

You need a reality check to see if your present lifestyle will usher you into God’s presence should the Lord ask you home now.

It takes the Holy Spirit to awaken a man from his spiritual stupor to his need of reconciliation with  God. The awareness and conviction of our depraved sinful lifestyle is an indication that regeneration,-the redemptive work of grace by the Holy Spirit- has started in us.  It’s a process that  makes the hunger and thirst of  reconciliation with God a priority for us. And in the ensuring brokenness and contrition of heart there is the urgency of repentance and acceptance of that promised GIFT of life which God gives to those who believe in the finished work of Christ at Calvary. Then he is saved. The faith with which we receive the Holy Spirit, is purely the work of grace. Do not join the motley multitude that still marvel at and reject the very command of God that without being born again you CANNOT enter heaven.

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me. Jn.146 (AMP)

No man can enter Heaven unless he BELIEVES in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Hell is not a pleasant alternative, but that’s the default home of everyone born of a woman. We are in a lost state as humans, no matter whom you are or what you do outside Christ.

For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Lk.1910 (NKJV)

God is sovereign but listen to me, man is responsible, accountable, praiseworthy, or blameworthy for what we do. God’s sovereignty does not diminish human responsibility and accountability for his lifestyle. That’s a fact. The question is, which world would you prefer to live in? A world where men or Satan or chance control what happens to you? Or one where an infinitely good, infinitely wise, infinitely powerful God works everything together for the good of those who trust him and for his glory? You have some rethinking to do. The point is that, you have no alternative comparable with believing in Jesus Christ. God’s gift of The Holy Spirit is available to you NOW because of the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Believe, Repent and be Baptized and you will be saved.
